Conferences & Training Opportunities

Develop talent and hone skills at TEC events throughout the year.

The association offers conferences on leadership and professional development for cooperative boards of directors, managers and key staff. In addition, TEC workshops and classes, both in-person and online, cover multiple aspects of the co-op business, from people skills to asset management.



The primary purpose of TEC’s annual conferences is to provide an environment for co-op employees to learn, network and share ideas. These conferences are built by committees made up of representatives from regions across the state. Committee members work along with the association to ensure relevant learning opportunities and timely information.

Webinars and Workshops

TEC offers webinars and instructor-led workshops that fulfill continuing education requirements, develop skills and hone talent.

The webinars—which qualify for Continuing Education Units and Continuing Professional Education hours—are designed to develop professional skills and knowledge on engaging topics, including accounting, computer skills, cooperative principles, electric co-op system basics, customer service employee relations, and engineering operations and safety.

The instructor-led learning opportunities at TEC’s Georgetown Training Facility are designed to develop professional skills and knowledge. Seminars cover an array of topics, including Microsoft Excel, leadership, fundamentals of the electric business, communications, networking, retirement and more.

C.O.R.E Training Program

TEC’s Co-op Regional Education program provides TEC members both convenience and cost savings by creating on-site learning opportunities for any sized group at co-op offices across the state. Perfect for all-employee trainings, the C.O.R.E. program is flexible and covers a variety of relevant topics.

The TEC Annual Meeting always provides a great opportunity for cooperative leaders from across the state to stay connected. Every year, I take something of value back to my cooperative from this event.
