Hesse, Parsley, Young Join TEC Board
September 3, 2021
The 57 voting delegates in attendance at the TEC Annual Meeting elected Neil Hesse, general manager of PenTex Energy, representing Group 3; Julie Parsley, CEO of Pedernales EC, Group 6; and Brandon Young, general manager of Heart of Texas EC, Group 2, to three-year terms on the statewide association’s board of directors.
The new board selected Gary Raybon, general manager and CEO of Wharton County EC, as its new chair. He replaces Bob Loth III, CEO of Central Texas EC, whose term ended at the meeting. Kelly Lankford, executive vice president and CEO of Concho Valley EC, is vice chair, and Hesse is secretary-treasurer.
Loth thanked TEC’s management, the CTEC Board of Directors and his family for supporting his time on the board.
“I was very proud to be asked to be on the board,” he said. “It was a tough year, but it was still a good year. Getting to be a part of that makes you feel good.”
He commended TEC’s Government Relations department for navigating a legislative session snarled by February’s deep freeze.
“We went into this year not expecting much, and, boy, were we wrong,” he said. “And I don’t think that we could have hoped to come out any better than we did.”
