Nueces EC Hosts Its First TEC Loss Control School
November 1, 2016
Texas Electric Cooperatives and Nueces Electric Cooperative teamed up to hold the first TEC Loss Control school at the co-op’s Robstown training field in October.
The South Texas field provides a training location in an area of the state that had not been served before.
“Through cooperation, co-ops are allowing us to build training facilities out in the field,” said Danny Williams, TEC Loss Control manager. “We are very fortunate to have so many people come to these schools.”
The 2-acre field features 12 poles, an overhead transformer section and a training room for classroom discussion in the nearby headquarters. NEC plans to continue development in stages to include more hands-on training areas.
