Texas Co-op Power Gets National Recognition
October 1, 2017
The National Electric Cooperative Statewide Editors Association awarded four Willies awards to Texas Co-op Power magazine. Named for Willie Wiredhand, the awards honor the best writing, photography and design from among the national association’s 32 statewide magazines.
Texas Co-op Power won a gold award for its February Open Hearts feature by Chris Burrows, and merit awards for Drones: An Overview from April, My Flight With a Doolittle Raider from November 2016 and its Seashells of Texas poster from May.
The awards process draws entries from across the country, and a panel of publishing professionals from the co-op community judges the entries.
SEA leaders presented the Willies awards at the association’s annual Issues Conference in August.
